Like Hazelight’s other title, A Way Out, It Takes Two is a two-player co-op experience that puts its players in the shoes of husband and wife as they try to make their marriage work in an interesting and well-crafted world. It Takes Two, from studio Hazelight and published by Electronic Arts under their Originals branding, was initially released on March 26 to overwhelmingly positive reviews. The always-entertaining Josef Fares’ latest title makes it back to the top of the Steam charts two months after its initial release. The latest content drop for the online multiplayer part of GTA V is the Los Santos Tuners, and it was released last July 21. Grand Theft Auto V, with both its widely popular single and multiplayer component, makes the Steam chart of best sellers for the first week of August as Rockstar Games continue to heavily support its online aspect. It’s hard to believe that Rockstar Games’ latest entry to the Grand Theft Auto series is already eight years old it’s harder still to find it topping the charts after all that time, and yet here we are. Valve also developed and sells VR gaming’s current flagship title, Half-Life Alyx, on the Steam storefront. The Valve Index Vr Kit includes the Valve Index Headset itself, two controllers, and the pair of base stations. The Valve Index VR Kit made it through the Steam charts this first week of August, as PC gamers are still quite keen on VR technology as it continues to evolve and more games for it be released. Two years after its initial release, the Valve Index continues to be one of the better choices for VR gaming in 2021. Surviving longer means more rewards, and those rewards are integral to make it to the game’s end, as players try to hold off Ragnarok itself for the sake of their tribe. This involves collecting materials and increasing experience as you gain important victories. Featuring Norse mythology as its central theme, Tribes of Midgard sees players cooperating together to help their entire tribe survive against hordes and waves of enemies. It was developed by Norsfell and published by Gearbox Publishing, and can be played by 10 players at a time. Taking third place on the Steam charts for the first week of August is Tribes of Midgard, another cooperative title with hero tower defense and top-down action elements. The Ascent supports up to four players at a time, and features RPG elements to customize your character with various cybernetic augmentations meant to help you get a definite edge over your enemies. Players can either play solo or co-op against hordes of enemies in Veles, a packed cyberpunk world with a distinct narrative. ![]() The top-down shooter takes place in a fully-realized cyberpunk world that puts CD Projekt RED’s own Cyberpunk title to shame. The AscentĪlso making it to the charts following a very successful release last July 30 is The Ascent, an action shooter RPG developed by Neon Giant and published by Curve Digital. The game lets you play the regular co-op experience as you complete narrative-driven missions while trying to survive against numerous zombies, or in different versus modes where players have the chance to play as either human survivors or the Ridden. Developed by Turtle Rock Studios, who are formed by the original creators of the Left 4 Dead franchise, Back 4 Blood is a spiritual successor of sorts for the latter featuring the high-energy and intense first-person shooting action. Topping the charts for the first week of August on Steam is the co-op multiplayer zombie shooter Back 4 Blood, which will be released this October 13.
